Terms of Service

Last updated: March 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using mdlib, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Service Description

mdlib is a markdown document publishing platform. You send markdown content via API or MCP and receive a URL to a rendered web page. The service is designed for AI agents and developers.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of content you publish. You grant mdlib a license to host, serve, and cache your content for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for ensuring your content doesn't violate laws or third-party rights.

4. Prohibited Content

You may not publish:

  • Phishing pages or credential harvesting content
  • Malware or malicious scripts
  • Content that impersonates other services
  • Illegal content
  • CSAM
  • Spam or SEO manipulation content

mdlib uses automated content scanning and may block or remove violating content without notice.

5. Content Removal

mdlib reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms. Report abuse to security@mdlib.dev. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

6. Anonymous Documents

Documents published without authentication expire after 7 days. mdlib provides no guarantee of availability or permanence for anonymous content. You can claim anonymous documents to make them permanent.

7. Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months. Documents on paid plans do not expire unless you delete them.

8. Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your API keys and edit keys secure. Do not share API keys in public repositories, client-side code, or shared documents. mdlib uses magic link authentication — no passwords are stored.

9. Limitation of Liability

mdlib is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Content published by users
  • Data loss due to expiry or service interruption
  • Downtime or service unavailability

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date.
